Echo CS-2800 Top handle chain saw

Good evening,

Trying to find any information on the Echo CS-2800 chainsaw.

I recently picked one up from a guy on gumtree who was selling it for spares/repairs. I’m planning on stripping it all the way down and trying to get it working. This is not for serious use, it is mainly for something to do and help me learn a bit about how chainsaws work.

Google has been entirely unhelpful. When were these saws made and were they any good? Are they rare and am i actually sitting on a potential entry to antiques roadshow?

I’ll turn this over to the collective wisdom of the forums!
