Yes sorry, my phone camera is rubbish.

I origionally thought it might be Tawny Funnel Cap - Lepista inversa, I can't seem to find any info on when either of these fruiting bodies appears.

I think your right it is False Chanterelle.

If it is False Chanterelle then what are the implications for the Ash tree that this fairy ring apears to be surrounding - None of my books have any infomation on these!

Cheers

In what sense...a health issue or stability issue or infection issue? I wouldnt worry too much. They appear in grass and meadow and leaf litter and such I understand....

I am not familiar with it myself so if anyone else knows more/different/better...speak up!

(ps- I meant lurid, the one I posted for ref'....!!)

I still would not be worried for the tree or workshop on the strength of their presence alone...here's some info.

Hygrophoropsis aurantiaca, False Chanterelle

Hygrophoropsis aurantiaca - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

From what I can glean, they are more closely related (taxonomically) with Boletes. If you didnt know already, boletes are quite often associated with specific tree species....as you will quickly see from their common names....

False Chanterelle is more often associated with conifers....it has a varied habitat.

the fact these are in a fairing ring formation should be sufficient to asume these are harmless decomposers or micorhizas, too red for false chanterelle and the rim or cap lip is not turned downward but upward and it has very uniform gill form, i will have a peruse through the books and give a good idea what it is most likely.

no issue to the ash
