Morning,

We are currently thinking of going into forwarding trailer and tractor contracting. We’ve had a few small woodland owners and farms asking for wood taken out. What’s the going rate per hour for 2 men chainsaw, tractor, winch, trailer and diesel? Then just for tractor trailer, winch and diesel?

Cheers Tom

10-15p/tonne fell and stack

8-10 p/tonne  extract

adjusted depending on material

Twas the prices a few years back

I'd expect them to have gone up since then, unless forestry has gone like arb and its less

It's £30-35 a ton to extract hardwood and stack here in mid Wales. Per hour is going to vary on the size of the equipment, skill of the cutters etc.
