Just read this document By the Risk and Regulation Advisory Council that was posted by Mike Ellison on UKTC.

Page 15 give an interesting synopsis of the external view of our professional bodies...

 

Do we spend too much time focussing on tree hazards? Or is that just the nature of our role?

Very true, we have taken over a contract for a client who has been paying for just over 6000 trees to be surveyed a year, we have done some desktop studies and risk zoned trees and have reduced it to just under 400 trees, the client was worried why this was as so the previous company said that 6k + trees was the minimum needed. Once explained he was fairly happy :thumbup1:
