Finding a multitude of routes to go down (welch plug, spark, filters, ignition module, muffler clean etc etc) but upon throttle from instant start then eventual dying of revs to barely maintain running then would old fuel "gum" in fuel lines and carb be a good start to clean out?

reason being that despite tweaking H & L & LH needles,  old fuel previously present and running ok whilst choke on then I assume from previous posts etc that its a fuel starve symptom causing bad running and stalls etc?

cutter is relatively new and not done much work if that helps any?

appreciate any advice as this is more than annoying in pi55 wet cold rain sleet and wind :/

Try changing the fuel filter, just done one and it had similar issues and it was the fuel filter. Don't buy a new ignition coil as it costs £££ and wastes £££ if it isn't faulty!

My one looked OK but stripped it down and looked a bit crappy so changed it and bingo....running trimmer.

It is worth oiling the blades as well as sometimes they bind and makes the operator think the machine is underpowered.

*UPDATE* cleaned out fuel tank and fitted new fuel and air filter TNA,

runs ok for a 10 seconds then starts bogging still on minimum low revs,

seemed to run ok when opened fuel cap so suspected breather for a while but symptoms returned regardless if fuel cap left opened or not so carb strip and clean next step?
