Been to quote on a clearance job. When walking round to look at the job the land owner said he had 2 companies not wanting to quote when they found out there was a stream/field run off at the bottom. You can stand with a leg on either side. Am I not thinking of something, why would they not take job? It's mainly silver birch and little oak. 20180920_131455.jpeg20180920_131704.jpeg

Depends how steep the banks are and how much you will have to retrieve from the stream.
Easy to underestimate/underprice a job like that, but if two firms have knocked it back, that gives you an advantage.
Work out how long it will take then “press a little harder on the pen” to allow for any unanticipated delays.
To be fair, it doesn’t look too difficult.
If you have good access and a winch it looks pretty straightforward.
Good luck [emoji106]

What are you clearing? Looks like just a few sticks accross a stream? Or are you felling the lot. If so perhaps there’s access to get a little digger and grab in? Easy to pile timber up and pull stuff up out of awkward areas.

Actually, doesn’t even look enough to warrant any real machinery in there .

Dont know- to me it looks a very easy job. So perhaps I’m missing something too!

The jobs to clear all the trees and large brash on the right hand side of the stream access is good there is a track right at the side of the section at least two vans wide the bank is firm and my drive is steeper
So over than spill kits which should use any way and using bare oil that not petroleum based to be over the top could there be any thing els there is no wild live protected habitats or species ever thank
