Anyone run 2.8TGV in there defender??

just thinking If the 300 tdi ever went pop is it a worthwhile conversion??

defender is on galv chassis with 300 mounts anyway. 

Mods done: fresh Garret turbo with actuator rod slightly shortened, tweeked pump as per 300auto spec, allisport intercooler. Non CAT. 

Tows ifor & tracked chipper ok ? around 2.5 tonne.

Your 300tdi will run forever!!!!! regular oil changes and good morning temperature build ups (let it tick over and get oil round before giving it any pain) maybe a water pump when the gland does the usual weeping when its getting ready [emoji106][emoji108][emoji108] old sluggers and a bit thirsty but tough as old boots!!!

Religiously drop the oils every 5k and flush the intercooler and catch tank.

gets looked after really well because I rely on it so much ?
