Id help much appreciated

Hi. Not great with fungi, so asking for help. This is on a silver maple. A limb  dropped in the recent wind, below on the main stem is also very soft. There is significant die back in one side of the crown, quite a lot of epicormic growth throughout.  any help appreciated ?
