Flipline help

This could be one of those questions that makes you sigh with frustration that I could be so stupid.
 
I have just bought a new stein flipline but I cannot attach the ropegrab that come as part of the kit.

The only way I can assume it would go together would be to dismantle the micrograb to get the steel eyelet through.
 
Am I missing something or is this standard practice..

They are cheap enough to use once but it is accepted that they can be used multiple times even by aviation authorities. As long as you cannot wind it onto the threads past the locking section by hand they are reusable. Some say that there should be at least one whole thread visible after the lock as well.
