We have been selling  quite a lot of the new Husqvarna X-cut chain and have had fantastic feedback on its performance. I thought I would just post the info here for those who dont know about it.

It is targeted at 550xp and 560xp users ALTHOUGH you cant just use the chain on the standard bars as it has a 1.3mm gauge opposed to the 1.5mm standard setup. Therefore we put a discounted package of bar and chain together a couple of months ago and it is selling extremely well.  £32.77 inc VAT for a 15" bar and chain isnt bad at all.

Bar and chain package.

Its no good owing the most powerful chainsaws available and then putting an inferior cheap Chinese chain on the most important bit, so give it a try.

Just a quick update as we have had a few questions about the chain I thought it best to add the info herr.

No change in file size, use a 3/16"  equivalent to  4.8mm

No need to change the rim sprocket although its a good time to check wear on that item as a worn drive sprocket/rim will sap power and damage new chains.

Not available in full chisel and it looks like it isnt going to be.

Will be available in 3/8" full chisel in spring next year.

Must add, still to hear a bad word about the new setup it's been 100%  positive so far.

Don’t forget the X cut file guide available in a kit or on its own. For the correct angle the standard .325 gauge or pixel gauge doesn’t  give the best results.
