Refresher units (again!)

Could anybody enlighten me on the following?

I have a tree Team who need to do a series of Refresher Training asap, they have recently completed their Windblown and Medium felling (002102)tickets, question is do they still need to renew their CS 30/31 tickets as well?

Surely the training activity supersedes the lower level competencies, as it is listed at Level 3?

Any help/feedback greatly accepted?!!!

Yes, a medium tree (felling over 380mm) would count as refresher for your basic chainsaw (chainsaw maintenance, cross-cutting and felling up to 380mm). The NPTC 301 schedule covers maintenance and cross-cutting elements too. But in future they will be required ('HSE advised') to refresh all these felling/windblown elements by completing a refresher course with a trusted training provider (preferably taught by a current NPTC instructor/assessor) to ensure continued best practice and cover any new HSE or legislation requirements.
