promotion ?

Go for it.

I convinced my boss to have a stall at a fair this year to try to promote the buisness. It didn't generate a huge amount of business but we sold loads of planks and it was good fun. We had a table with lots of tree oddities and cross sections through decayed stems, people were very polite and pretended to be interested.

Another local tree company sets up in a supermarket car park after Christmas and chips up Christmas trees. I think this probably generates allot of business.

Hi guys it all went well.

i thought abot this long and hard beforehand

we were there at 8.30 talking and handing out leaflets to what i deemed to be our target customer the middle aged profe3sional .

we had leaflets at cigarete counter , customer serv dept , and the petrol station.

also zipp tied site boards around carpark exit and all over the place.

my research had done well ,as the morning started to fade you could see the change in social level eg morning was our target audience midday was familys and then it just drops all the way down to teenagers bying there beer for saturday night.

the weather worked in our favour bloody windy , just hope those customers go home watch there trees get battered and blown to bits and then give me a call.

imo you have to push and sell yourself it never just falls in your lap.

ps cheers Mike
