Woodline splitter problems

I have got a 20t horizontal log splitter just blown end cap off ram has anybody else had this problem

yes had the same happen, had to weld it back on, been fine since

Think mine is the wl20 with lifting table

Yes same model as mine it started with a small split which I had welded then the rest just split leaving the repaired bit in tact

When i did mine i drained down the ram and cut the end off wiped any oil away, ground the end of the cylinder and the end cap then welded round you prob want a pretty grunty welder, i used a 3 phase mig but you could use something else, reminds me i must get it painted at some point, good splitter though especially like the two speed, have you ever found anything to stop it ?

No found it to take anything I throw at it I am having it repaired by a professional welder he will mig weld it  I want to go onto billets and season them in the bundle then log them up as I sell them  that's why I went for this splitter
