ok, so i replaced the fuel breather with one from an old saw of mine, and but the old gal back together...

moment of truth, pull, pull, pull..... and no luck,

i tried a drop of fuel down the bore, pull, pull pull.. still nothing,

i am somewhat confused now, as i have cleaned the carb, checked all pipes for blockages, there is lots of compression and a nice spark, but the fuel is just not getting burnt (if getting in atall) the saw fired up fine when i baught it, but now i cannot get any life from it, i am going away for a week on saturday, so if i have no luck by then i will have to put it into a shop (which i loathe because its alot of money for someone to do what i can do...) but maybe they will have some luck, or they no something i dont....

If you've put petrol down the bore and no luck, I'd be thinking about ignition. You can sometimes get a good spark with the plug out, but no spark under compression.

Some mechanics have a test plug, with the gap about 4 times what it 's supposed to be. If the spark can jump that gap, it will jump the normal gap under pressure.
