Hs82T 24" or 30"?

 

I do a lot of shaping of small stuff as well as big stuff.

 

Can the 30" be a pain when shaping small buxus balls etc? Thanks Charlie.

i use a 30 inch hs82r for a mix of everything you get use to it and on smaller stuff you not bending so much, but to throw a spanner in the works i was bought a makita eh7500w as a xmass pressent by the gf and I'm shocked how good it actually is, starts 1st pull a lot lighter really sharp blades that leave a good fine finish, vibrations are hardly noticeable on par with the stihl hs82, only down side is the tooth gap is smaller than the hs82r but about the same as T version, the makita eh7500w is 29inch and she paid £280 for it well worth the money

That makita has the same blades and gearbox as the echo 185. Very good really.

for £280 the makita eh7500w its a very cheap machine is got plenty of power well put together and is near on 180 pound cheaper than the stihl equivalent if you was local i would have lent you the makita for a day to try out
