MEWP Code of Practice

I wonder if anyone can assist/give me some advice, I currently use a MEWP for the Tree Team and in a past life also did a MEWP Course, however I keep coming across conflicting information regarding their safe use and any current best practice / legislation.

 

I have the ARB Association Booklet from 2005 and a copy of the Tree Work at Height Code of Practice from 2015 - is there anything else that would be of use to clear up a few points regarding current thoughts?

You won't go wrong if you jump on an IPAF course and stick to the general methods etc you are taught. I'm not the biggest IPAF fan but they do make it fairly black and white and it's a massively recognised course. Remember that using MEWPs is the sole focus of someone like IPAF, so principles will never be an afterthought or something that is "fitted in" to suit other work practises.
