mycorrhizal powder

Hi all,

Anybody use mycorrhizal powder/gels when planting outside of an established area? I have a former meadow to plant up and it has been suggested to use a mycorrhizal powder or gel to kick things off. Done some research and it would have to be an ecto powder as its predominantly Quercus going in. Any experiences using this would be greatly appreciated.

Mycorrhizal form a symbiotic relationship with the roots of (90% of plants) trees. Soil health is vital to the health of trees. Healthy soils support Mycorrhizal fungi and If the area is not occupied by existing trees I suggest you harness this relationship to extend the root system.

Consider this on the root grow website ( I know they are selling the stuff)

"A mature 100 year old oak tree has enough fungal Hyphae living on its roots to circumnavigate planet Earth".
