Run it through a rope saver/guide for best results

I have a rope guide use it all the time! I also noticed that if your rope isn't straight to the rope guide it doesn't work well. I was deadwooding a big oak .. out on a limb, the rope was over limb above and I was trying to come back in and it wouldn't bite the rope.. there was a fair bit of creep.. if I fell i wonder how long it would of took for it to bite. On the other hand it worked well when the rope was straight to the pulley.

Yeah i think it takes a bit of tinkering too get it to run sweet.Change cams and see if that helps then id say its just gettin used to it mate.

Haha yeah art is a good make! That's a 2017 model I'm sure it's the 2016s I did check after I heard about it but everything seems OK! Thanks for the heads up though!
