I agree with steve,buy it as you need it-dont buy it just incase you need it.I had a gardening run 4/5 years back,i came from a gardening background into tree work,i had 22 gardens at one point,and i strimmed most of em.Didnt use a lawn mower as i didnt have a van then just a little toyota yaris car.Gets you pretty good at strimming grass,i could strim a bowling green to a perfect finish with a 410.

Point is you can over do it with tools,sometimes its difficult to store and carry them all aswell.

Yaris' are amazing, i can fit my mower in the boot of one! I used to have a dispatch van which was great as a mobile shed, but it died fast so I'm now waiting til i can afford a van that'll last me a while.

Good point there about working with what you have
