I've seen a few in my time but never installed on a tree of this size. Seems utterly pointless to me but was kinda interesting to see. The tree itself had a cobweb of other bracing installed as did most of the trees in the park

Bergamo, Italy. The tree on the left has 2 ground anchors then the tree on the right is braced to that one. I guess they have different ideas on things over there. Literally every tree in the park was braced though, even some not particularly large yew trees
