Elm coffee table

Hi

I promised myself to make a simple table after the surf table so here it is. About 2' x 16". The slab legs are attached using oak dowels and I used a piece of pink ivory for the butterfly spline - it didn't need it but I think its a funky contrast. :001_smile:

Cheers

Very nice, like it. What finish have you used? I have slabbed up a dead elm and am going to make a coffee table and like the look of your finish.

Thanks for the compliments. I used OSMO Polyx satin finish. I put a very light first coat on with a sponge then 2 more coats also with a sponge but you can use a brush. I lightly hand-sanded it with 320 grit after tthe second coat.

Cheers
