Volume on 8 wheeler again

An 8 wheeler in timber transport will have a much different body style to the ones you see in the construction industry. Bolster pins and a long arm grab are the order of the day.

Thanx for your reply and knowledge treequip. I only know the industry and wagons I work with. I'll bear that in mind in future

Thanks for the replies, I do normally buy per ton but got offered some per cube, apparently because it's dryer, when I asked how many m3 he reckons he could get on an 8 wheeler he said about 20!

This has been to death on here before.

Last 8 wheeler I had in was with 12 months stacked roundwood. 19 tonnes, 24 metres. Mixed hardwood and softwood.

All depends on the m/c. Sky's the limit with dry timber.

Only accept m3 if the stuff is as straight as softwood and you agree with the stack measure on the lorry.

0.7-0.75 for bars, 0.55 used to be hardwood. Poker straight h/wood at 0.55 you'd be laughing.
