have been sent these pics taken at the base of an Ash tree, first thought was P.squarrosa but seems too smooth so then thought it might be the ringless honey fungus....any thoughts out there?

Not seen much yet, fair few ganos on beech woodland trees mainly and the odd hispidus here and there.

We had the inaugural National Tree Officers Conference in at Telford a few weeks ago. A coming together of the ICF, The London Tree Officers and Municipal Tree Officers Associations. Couple of hundred attended what was a very interesting and useful day.

 

Imagine it will happen again, you should come along next time. Plenty of Consultants attended, thought you may have been there.
