Just looking for some advice, my little stihl will idle but won't rev up, using the choke you can fiddle it to rev, cleaned the carb and fitted new carb kit, fuel lines hold a vacuum, I imagine it's running lean but what could cause this? Cheers

Hi

Few simple things for starters:

Check the plug colour - if its 'biscuit brown' or similar coffee colour then mix OK, black = rich, pale/white = weak - there are plenty of pics if you search.

It may be also worth checking the fuel pickup pipe is OK as I had a problem on my MS250 once replaced ran fine & only a few quid or the fuel filter is not clogged up.

There are plenty of vids on the tube to show how to change it
