Im looking for a book that will help me identify trees and also what can be done to each tree and time of year etc as I'm wanting to learn more as im doing alot of climbing now and tree work

I'm not sure that the one single book exists. I have a library of books that I refer to for different purposes, but I will get you started on some key ones and I'm sure others will fill in the gaps:

 

For ID: Collins tree guide

 

For good knowledge: Mattheck and Broeler The body language of trees

 

For what you can do: Pirone's tree maintenance (old and American focus but still good )

 

There are many more, so it's hard to give a perfect list.
