Mick, the trees are excellent practice with a skew chisel, no sanding at all if you get it right, lots of firewood if you don't. A great use for small branches of Yew as the coloring is superb.

 

 

 

Yeah I can imagine throwing a few of those in the fire haha.

They're both excellent bob. The tree looks like it would take a long time sanding and finishing so many individual flanges. What woods have you used

It was elm and done with skew and no anding as Mick said

I used to avoid the skew like the plague now it's a chisel of choice and when giving lessons to beginners it's the second chisel I get them to use.

Currently don't sell anything just swap for hugs and cakes:thumbup:
