Wood backpack basket and knife skills from Italy

i saw this series of vids on you tube,the method reminds me of how truggs are made,

A "Gerla" was a common type of pack in the Alp regions of Italy, it was used mostly to carry hay and grass from the fields to the barns, on your back, since wheels would be no good in the steep mountains. The maker of the Gerla in the videos uses a typical multi-purpose knife called "Roncola"

And the sequence of the you tube videos for the construction of the Gerla. Each video is about 1.5 minutes long. The film was taken in the 70's i believe on cine film,the music is crap but the info good,theres several parts but well woth watching.
