Description

David Brown 885 loader tractor (1979). In working order

runs, drives and hydraulics all work as they should.

Loader has the original muck fork and a later added crane jib.

clevis drawbar and pick up hitch.

Aprox 4100 genuine hours (see pictures)

The tractor has been in the family since 1984 when my late father brought it, it spent all its working life in the Cambridgeshire fens until about 10 years ago,  About 5 years ago I brought it down to the Isle of Wight and it hasn’t seen much work since.

engine and gearbox/hydraulic oil and filters were changed at 4000 hrs.

It’s has had no mechanical work apart from servicing in the time the have owned it, It is still wearing it factory fitted front tyres.

The poor points:

There are a couple of lighting issues, the first being the rear lights got broken and have been changed for trailer lights. The original ones are included but need new lenses. NO Extra holes have been drilled so can be switched back easily. The headlights and the switch have been changed but they only work intermittently, believed to be relay or wiring

The front tyres are showing there age but hold air and will go round plenty more times.

the tip cable for the trip muck fork on the loader needs a replacement .

The tractor has got some surface rust over the bodywork but is still structurally sound.

the pictures show the condition.

£2750 or very near offers.

This is a genuine machine with a genuine reason for sale, open to sensible offers.

happy to collect serious people from the Yarmouth ferry port (traveling from Lymington) to view

, Isle of wight - United Kingdom
