Conifer aphid.

What, if anything, can be applied to leylandii with fairly small amounts of aphid attack in patches on the hedge, and when should it be applied?

Its a Leylandii, so LOTS of petrol and a match, then fell charred stem, grind out stump and replant with a nice new non-conifer species of tree.

Re: Conifer aphid.

Given the abundance of ladybirds this year, I'd say leave well alone. The insecticide will annihilate the natural predators.
