Old couple walk right past a Bear a few feet away and don't even notice it

It's not just old folk. I turned up to the weekly Wildlife Trust workday, and had been there for several minutes when one of the other people looked me in the eye and said:" Simon, you walked past me four times!". It was my brother and I hadn't noticed him.
