Our arborist chainsaw just got ever better!

Small in size – big in performance. Husqvarna has pushed the boundaries again in chainsaw technology.

The Husqvarna T540 XP has always been known as a well-balanced, high performance top handled chainsaw, that combined the needs of the operator with that of the challenging environment arborists work in.

The Husqvarna T540 XP II continues in this vein, featuring a number of new performance and durability upgrades. The T540 XP II boasting improved engine performance and durability.

The performance improvements of the mark II version of Husqvarna’s best-selling top handled chainsaw can be attributed to a number of engineering improvements from their research and development team in Huskvarna, and have been tested long term here in the UK, by members of the Husqvarna H-Team.

Firstly, its new cylinder and piston design not only conforms to the latest emission standards, but improves the engine reliability and durability whilst offering improved engine characteristics.

Secondly and most crucially, the Husqvarna T540 XP II has a brand new ignition module and modified flywheel. This has not only made the chainsaw easier to start in hot and cold conditions, which is ideal when working in the highly variable weather conditions in the UK and high up in a tree, but also improves the engines characteristics which includes higher levels of torque lower down the RPM range, and a sharper engine response.

The Anti Vibration (AV) system also features a number of modifications which give much higher levels of durability. The rear AV mount has been reinforced providing improved strength, in conjunction with this a new rear AV spring design improves spring stability whilst minimising the risk of over extension and deformation.

This is on top of all the other features that Aborists have enjoyed from the original Husqvarna T50 XP.

Notably;

  1. AutoTune - automatically adjusting the engine for optimal operation based on fuel type, temperature, altitude, air filter condition, etc.
  2. X-Torq engine – delivers higher levels of torque whilst cutting fuel consumption by up to 20% and exhaust emissions up to 75%.
  3. Air Injection – centrifugal air cleaning system reduces engine wear and increases the time between filter cleanings.
  4. Three grip sizes - to ensure a comfortable grip when working.
  5. To facilitate climbing and handling, an extra eyelet is available for attaching the chainsaw to the harness.
