How to safeguard

Hi. We're in the process of starting up & having just read Arbsafe it seems the thieves are alive & kicking. Just wondered if anyone has knowledge of how active the police are at stopping/checking serial nos etc at towed chippers etc.

We have nothing yet worthy of fitting 'tracker' type kit but have photographed all equipment & stamped ID marks on them. Obviously the best thing is to prevent theft in the first place so measures/methods are in place & the workshop is almost fortresslike. Where do you think the stolen gear ends up & are they ****** & does stolen gear get sold on eBay?
