Contract/Site Manager – Full time to start ASAP

 

Job Introduction:

 

Sparrowhatch Forestry Ltd is looking for an experienced and well-organised contract and site manager to be in charge of single-site contracts, manage a small number of staff, and report promptly and effectively to the Managing Director.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Daily running of projects on site to ensure smooth running from start to completion

Be site contact for clients and staff

Manage Health and Safety when on site (with briefs from Managing Director)

Be responsible for making sure projects are completed on time and within budget

Person Specification:

 

Experience of working with saws and large machinery in the forestry sector; desirable

Moderate level of mechanical knowledge; desirable

Be highly organised, with the ability to think on one’s feet; essential

Have good interpersonal skills with previous experience of managing people; essential

High level of literacy, minimum grade C English GCSE; essential
