Curriculum Team Leader – Horticulture & Floristry

Salary £34,156.00 - £38,629.00 per annum

This rapidly growing subject area combines first class teaching with use of the extensive facilities on the College estate including landscaped areas, arboretum, specialist gardens and extensive lawns and a commercially operated garden centre to provide an unrivalled student experience.

Due to our continued growth in students wishing to study for qualifications in horticulture and related subjects we now seek an innovative, experienced and self-motivated teacher to make a significant contribution to a team of staff delivering courses from entry level to degree and post-graduate qualifications. A key focus of this post will be the driving of standards in delivery and maximising the potential of our students by working with our grounds maintenance and commercial teams.

Applicants will ideally have at least 3 years full-time teaching experience together with sound administrative skills. You will have a grade C or above in GCSE Maths and English Language (or equivalent). A formal teaching qualification is essential and a Graduate or Higher National level qualification will be a distinct advantage in the relevant discipline of Horticulture or Floristry. A period of relevant industrial experience is a pre-requisite of appointment to this post.

The College has made substantial investments in resources and this is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding subject area during the next phase of its development.
