  2. Churchfield Allotment Site

I'll be using woodchips to cover the paths at my allotment.we have recently taken on the plot and the kids are loving it, but I want to smarten it up a bit and keep the weeds down.

I'm willing to make a small payment plus some beer.

Access is down a single track path wide enough for a small van. From the village end of olantigh road, turn left after about 100 yards,  behind the old college buildings and then immediately left up the footpath. The gate to the site is then straight ahead and you can make the drop through the gate and to the left.

I can be on hand to help with access or directions so please do call before making a drop and I will come lend a hand.

  7. Old Windsor Allotment

Hello there! We are a friendly allotment site whose members are currently desperate for woodchip. We offer payment of a box of biscuits

Woodchip is used for for many things on our site, including: paths, weed suppressing, and sustainable growing practices which include using it as a soil cover to prevent water evaporation (which then reduces water use and so helps us all to be more environmentally friendly)

We would be grateful if you could share any free woodchip with us as we are always in need of it (particularly so at the moment as our members are all very busy getting prepared for the 2023 growing season!)

If you are able to drop then please call beforehand and one of our committee members who live locally will come and let you in the gate

Many thanks and we look forward to hearing from you.
