I have a 550XP that has started to really give me some problems.
It takes an absolute age to start, and once running, if you let off the throttle, she cuts out. Then the starting games start again.
I’ve whipped off the exhaust and there is scoring on the piston, time for a new saw I think. She’s done me well.
I have two questions.
Is it reasonable to purchase a 500i and use a 20 inch bar for day to day use? I’ve needed something bigger in both cc and bar length for a while. Are they worth the price extra few hundred compared to maybe a 372?
Second question, what’s a reasonable amount of money to advertise her for as spares repair?
