  1. Thanks for the answer Bolt, guess I'll retire to keychain or some other purpose.
  2. Zigzag plus and yes that looks exactly like what happened. Next time I climb I will definitely use a captive. Do you think it's still usable?
  3. I was climbing today on a very new tree hog carabiner, which was attaching my zig zag to my bridge. I only unclipped it at the end of the day and I was inspecting it and noticed damage that wasn't there before on the triple locking system. Is this now a write off? Can anyone help me figure what I did wrong.
  4. Based in St Albans. Do not currently have a drivers license but can use public transport. Currently a student so back from the holidays. Currently have CS30, 31 and 38. Also FdSc in Arboriculture and Tree Management. Have 4 years experience working between my studies. Have my own PPE and some climbing equipment.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
