  1. Oh right u gave me some reasonable advice, then you join the bully.
  2. Unblock your sniffer then, hone it. At least I got advise from some people, the sniff police don't have a case.
  3. I asked whether or not anybody had experienced etc anything similar or if it was possible that the saw would make it to me without interference along the way.
  4. Your suspicious little sniffer must be blocked, and your eyes ? Well. Who said a small dealer?? Not me. They are big enough to have approx 20 saws on display. Some months later I stripped the saw. I have not taken it anywhere else and I did not say I did. The serial number on my saw match the serial number on the receipt they gave me. I have ten years on you bud, so maybe next time READ the post properly. Thank you for your non-advice which I simply asked for and I got from to civil and reasonable members.
  5. BTW.... the dealer , although a fully approved dealer, has an independent repair guy that collects their stuff once a week and brings it back repaired, he would also get all the OEM parts from them when needed
  6. Cheers... I'll call into them in a calm manner, we also have dealings on farm supplies . You both have given me good insight and that will be very helpful when I visit the dealer. It's not really the cc's power difference, but the possibility that there was deception in the deal. I will deffo come back here with the results. Thanks again 👍👍
  7. Thank you.... I suppose I'm just trying to understand things and have a better understanding of my situation. I'm boiling over now but I want to be calm when I pop into the dealer as I've dealt with them for several years on all farm supplies. Thanks again 👍👍
  8. Hi Guys, Newbie here , but lots of "farmer" and firewood experience. I have a query , for all your collective expertise. I buy an MS291, off the shelf, over the counter , assembled for me as well. Just recently had reason to strip it and open it. Long story short!! , I discover it has a 44.7mm Cylinder and Piston (OEM) , not the expected 47mm jug . Soo.... my brand new saw is effectively an ms271 50cc instead of a 5.6cc ms291. There is also red dirko on the pan and cylinder. My question: The saw is German made, serial number starts with "1". Is there any reason, in any set of circumstances, that I should expect to find a lesser engine in the "brand new" saw sold to me by an approved dealership.....? I have a strong suspicion that the saw was sold and came back almost immediately burned from gas only tank. Saw still v clean, service guy puts in a ms271 cylinder & piston because the 47mm OEM is very expensive, puts it out on the shelf and the counter boys sell it....... to me, not expecting we would be opening it just a few months later. I'm hopping mad, infuriated. Your inputs really appreciated. Jim
