  1. Hello. I recently bought some woodland and I found this dead tree next to a stream and was wondering what species it is so as to know how best to use the wood. It seems to have died last summer so no leaves to go by and any trees in the vicinity seem different. The forest here is mostly beech, Turkey oak and hornbeam. I know it's none of those, but I heard people say you can also easily find ash, black locust and poplar around here, probably others too. I'm in Transylvania, Romania. Many thanks
