  1. I am located in the western U.S.A. I just researched the disease you are referring to. The bark looks more like it’s rotting in the pictures on the internet. Mine is just growing moss and otherwise looks fine. It’s just the leaves that look dead. Not sure if this is Larch, but I know little to nothing about trees and such. I guess I am just wondering if I should have an arborist come look at them or not.
  2. These trees are in my backyard and the leaves/needles turned brown just after a snowfall in April. All the other trees around the neighborhood are thriving. Is this a sign that they are dead or dying?

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
