  1. @pleasant, I’ve got the correct part as advised by STIHL. I’ll have it checked by a dealer. No worries. Thanks.
  2. ADW you can adjust the chain. That's not a problem.
  3. GarethM thank you. Maybe you've got the answer. I read somewhere there is no oil speed adjuster on it. The carving bar was recommended by Stihl for this chainsaw. But maybe they're wrong because on the bar label for compatibility on the pack, the MSA140 wasn't mentioned. So this sounds really complicated now.
  4. Thanks Dan for your answer. Yes it's from a dealer but I bought it online. Maybe I don't realise and made a mistake when fitting the bar, but I followed instructions. I wrote to them this afternoon, so hopefully I'll have an answer on Monday. The oil is going to the bar as I've got too much oil coming out of the tip of the bar and out of tensioning wheel and bottom. Full oil tank lasted 2-3 minutes 🤔
  5. Hi, this morning I used my new Stihl MSA 140 with carving bar. The saw is over-oiling (see pics attached). The oil tank was empty after 2-3 minutes of cutting. I was carving a small log and the wood was immediately soaked with oil as well as the saw inside and outside the body. It was a mess with oil everywhere and dripping on the floor (not the normal spray when oiling properly). I refilled the oil tank (1/2 of it) and the same happened. There is no leak when the saw is not in use. I used the same thick chainsaw oil (Screwfix) as the one I normally use with my other chainsaw. I don't know what to do. Please could you help as it's a real mess? Many thanks.
