    We recently had our willow tree pollarded. It has now started growing back at a pretty fast rate. The tree surgeons said to keep on top of it by cutting off any growth down the main trunk and only allowing new shoots at the ends of each trunk. My question is, how much I should be cutting off? I've removed shoots at the bottom of each trunk, but didn't want to take too much off the higher bits without a bit of advice!
