    there appears to be only one screw which I assumed was idling speed, it acts on the cable cam - I should say that when it failed originally, it happened suddenly whilst in use. So from your comment the screw affects the air/fuel ratio?

    No butterfly, it appears to sound flooded when trying to rev so I think extra fuel is going in....do you know if these coils have electronic ignition advance....could it be not advancing the spark when reving?

    Have stripped the carb and cleaned.....removed muffler, exhaust port ok. Still the same - could it be the coil?

    Not spark arrestor or exhaust issue - It has had fuel left in it so I will try and clean the carb...

    TCG24EAS(SL) will not rev....not a heavily used machine. I have checked the spark suppresser, its clean. It idles OK but sounds choked/flooding when the throttle is opened and won't accelerate. Does the coil have built in ignition advance? I have come to the conclusion it is either the carb or the coil - which would you go for?
