  1. My HL135 input pinion bearing gave up. Shocked by the £135 for 3 new pinion bearings! So had a go fixing them. Removed all three pinion bearings with heat and various ways to pull them. I found an electric paint gun better than a blowtorch which heated the case to much. None came out with a “tap on a block of wood” as the pdf describes! Once out dismantled the pinions with a suitable sized punch and heat. Measured the bearings and ordered them from “simply bearings”. (Excellent service as usual). (4 bearings of size id 12* od 28* width 8mm, 2 bearings of size id 9 od 24 width 7mm). All metal shielded. Total £16. Easy to instal new bearings and rebuild pinions. Then reseat pinions in gearbox and cutter head. All worked fine. Took several hours, mainly getting the pinions out without breaking anything.
