  1. sorry for not updating you sooner, been busy recovering from pneumonia amongst other things.. but tomorrow is five weeks since I cut my finger and its been hard work, made good progress at the start, looked clean and no sign of infection at 2 weeks..only for a nurse to put foam padding on my still open wound and during the next 5 days the foam padding stuck to the wound and new tissue and the nurse pulled out all the healed tissue whilst changing my dressing..this padding also rubbed the cut raw.. 9 total visits to the hospital and 4 different Doctors, few nurses amd a specialist later, I think 🤔...its finally getting to feel normal and look significantly better. thanks all for the replies and any help...photos below are in order from most recent...ironically the bottom one is after two weeks healing, and its obvious which photo was the one after the padding got stuck to it.. top photo is from today..
  2. sorry , that sounds like a random thing out of nowhere that you would never expect to have happen.. I'm worried now that after two opinions and being told that they can't see how to stitch it, the specialist might have the same opinion and say leave it heal as it is ...thanks tho..good to hear from someone that's had a similar issue
  3. thats crazy, glad you made a full recovery, maybe they can work on my finger at the same time as the arm...only got referred to physio last week for it ...they did say that they were trying to line up the pieces but couldn't even work out where two parts fitted back in...heard so many ppl say about how unforgiving silky can be and a lot of them had been cut themselves...made up for the years without incident tho ..thanks
  4. thanks mate...all the years doing things meticulously and using the same movements and always getting to a safe and comfortable position first and only took a bit of change and slightly distracted by my arm issues and I'm now having to wait to see how things go...
  5. silky cut today..first one in 16 years as a climber severed tendon, and got to see specialist on Wednesday after they came to the conclusion that they don't know how to stitch or glue it as it is. silly mistake...last few weeks I've had swelling in my inner elbow and when I bend my arm my hand and arm goes numb , so after setting up lowering ropes etc went to cut a branch and my thumb went numb and had electric pain in my hand, instead of holding the branch i branded with my forearm and slipped and cut my finger across the knuckle to the bone 😅
