  1. 4 cut incidents? You sure you're not cutting these people for slacking off? Like you said the young lad was scared to tell you? 🤣
  2. It's interesting that everyone just thinks about cutting yourself as the reason you would need rescue. Like you wouldn't just push eject. If you can't admit to yourself that there's possibilities of be becoming unconscious in a tree on the big ones, think you're missing something. Why do you think we all wear helmets? I'll climb without rescue a lot of the time, but on the big jobs it just seems reckless. Seems to be a lot of "It wouldn't happen to me" mind frames here. Which is funny, because the guy who was meant to be my rescue, got crushed while climbing a windblown tree and broke his back a few years ago, he also had that mindframe. He got himself down from the tree, but he could've been stuck up there had he passed out. What then? Leave your work buddy unconscious and injured while you wait for the fire brigade? 🤣 We're doing a dangerous job guys, don't make it more dangerous by not looking after the guys you work with. It's just a job at the end of the day.
  3. Struggle with reading I take it? Because you obviously don't understand the question
  4. Wondering how others would have handled this situation. Been contract climbing for a guy for the past 12 months, usually 1-2 days a week. It's always just me and him working. Last week we went to take down a pretty big Ash that was overhanging an old wall and ornamental garden, so a fair bit of rigging would've been needed. The stem was a good 40cm diameter at the base and 20 meters tall. Big spread out crown. When I was getting my kit out of the truck I was looking for his throwline and noticed he hadn't brought his climbing kit. When I asked him about it he just brazenly replied "oh I must have forgotten it" as if he'd forgotten his sandwiches. He acted like it was no big deal and still expected me to climb. How would you have handled this situation?
