  1. Hi everyone, I’m fairly new to the trade as I’ve only been doing this for about 10 months now but have fallen in love with every aspect of it. I’m currently a self employed groundie working for a one man band who is local to Norfolk. I currently have the following qualifications: manually fed chipper ticket, type 1b and 3b ipaf ticket and cs30. I’m curious as to what business owners/climbers look for in a groundie besides the obvious “hard working”, “punctual”, “willing to learn”, etc. Specifically, I’ll be looking for companies based in and around Hatfield-Hertfordshire as this is where my partner is currently living/working as a Vet Nurse and we are hoping to make this area our home at the end of this year. So really my question is what qualifications do you find more desirable for your guys on the ground? And what would be your ideal range of kit for them to be able to supply themselves? Any suggestions are much appreciated 🤘🏻
