  1. Stere, Absolutely spot on!!. Over the moon!!. Thanks a million!!!
  2. Thanks guys, I'm sure it's a tree bark marking tool, I have and use my grandfather's old one with one blade (like this pic) and it looks to me that the combi one is for also marking circles.
  3. Good morning, for the past 20 years I have been involved in establishing the biggest Natural Woodland Regeneration Scheme in the U.K. (3400 hectares) at Kinlochleven, and am retired now. I was recently shown this photo and I'm certain I know what it is, and in fact have a plain one, but have never seen a combination one !!. It has become the subject of heated debate with a leather worker and I'd be very grateful if anyone can give an independet identification.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
