  1. 7.5 is a separate test like class 2, requires a medical and theory as well so still much more expensive than car + trailer. So if I remember rightly, car plus trailer test means you can tow up to 3.5 tonne and combined car/van plus trailer is 7 tonne max.
  2. Hi mate, I've been thinking the same but after I made a few enquiries with driving centres it costs way more to do your class 2, as you need to pay for a medical and theory tests as well as lessons and practical assessment. Also that doesn't give you your trailer licence for a car or 7.5, for that you'd need to do your class 1 which is more money again. I've gone with just doing my trailer test, as said already anything bigger is pretty specialist so would probably come with a driver. Hope that helps, good luck 👍
  3. Recently moved to the Carnforth area and looking for part-time and weekend work, am happy to consider full-time also. Qualified last year in CS30,31,38,39. I drive and have transport, PPE and climbing kit. Currently work on the railway (not in an arb role) so have PTS, COSS, SWL etc if you cover any rail work. Looking to gain expirience working with seasoned arborists and continue my learning. I look forward to hearing about any opportunities you have, cheers, Rob
