There's quite a few brands selling oregon look a like combi cans. So regarding Husqvarna's spouts, is it just the o-ring that doesn't allow it to close properly? Basically will replacing the o-ring make it shut properly again?

Thanks. Yeah maybe, can't really remember anymore 😀 Agreed the tree was not going to roll out and when cutting sections from the bottom it was always going to fall away from you, you rolled it out when it was possible. I use this technique where necessary key is that tree has a good lean away from you. Yeah as long as you got decent lean, you'll be safe but once it gets near vertical then it becomes somewhat dangerous and alterantive method must be used. 🙂

😆 Brexit adds about 20% to the final price and even more if the item costs over ~120£ So yeah don't think i'll order from UK anytime soon.

I'm in Europe, Estonia. I'v been felling trees, cutting firewood and logging for nearly a decade now. I spend most of my winter in the woods, so i'm comfortable with any saw. I use the chinise top handle when brush/trees are too big for a clearing saw. Those are some random pants, i'm a big boy so i haven't found a pair of safety pants that could fit me comfortably. I agree but hung up trees like to get hung up between branches/crotch and it'll never come down by rolling. I wouldn't call my technique dangerous, if you know what you're doing.

Yeah that's currently my plan, unless someone changes my mind But yeah i would get Stihl auto for gas and just use the basic spout for oil, don't think the auto would work for oil anyway due the cold temperature.

😆 I dont use these small bottles but i use husqvarna/Universal oil and yeah the oil that i use has a mark for mixing with 5l, so yeah it would be easier to mix the gas. I'm abit confused now, there seems to be 5/3L and 6/3L combi can from Oregon and other than the size difference, you could also buy a storage bag for 6/3l to store the tools on. Am i correct?

I'm glad to hear that Oregon ones are problem free. I do really like the old style Husqvarna combi cans aswell and those are still available around here for 35£. How good are the spouts on old style Husqvarna cans, are those as good as the stihl & oregon ?

Thanks guys! I did some research on stihl cans and sadly the only ones we have available (Estonia) are the orange ones, which become a deal breaker because i really want a transparent combi can. The Oregon combi can is around 15£ and 10£ for spout which is pretty decent imo. The previous one i had was a 3L and it was big enough so i'll most likely get the 3L/1.5l unless there's a good reason to get the big 5L combi can.

Hey friends, i'm new here! My current Mculloch Universal ( owned by Husqvarna )combi can has a sticky non spill spout and a cracked oil cap, so i need a new combi can. I would of bought the Husqvarna combi can but it has the same spouts as the mculloch so it'll most likely have the same issues ( unless Husqvarna has fixed those spouts ?) Assuming that the Husqvarna spouts are still crap, then there's really 2 options, either Stihl or Oregon. Which one do you use and which one would you suggest?
